LR051594 is a left hand lower rear suspension arm fitted to the left side of the rear suspension on Discovery models with four corner air suspension. This complete lower arm provides the lower pick-up point for the wheel hub and connects the hub carrier area to the vehicle structure; it locates the lower suspension attachment and transfers longitudinal and lateral loads between the wheel assembly and the chassis. Worn or damaged bushes at the arm's mounting positions commonly cause rear knocking noises, uneven tyre wear or a vehicle pulling to one side; replacing individual bushes is difficult, so the part is supplied as a complete arm including the mounting interfaces for the arm bushes to restore correct geometry and remove play at the lower suspension pick-up.
