Land Rover Part Number: LR055677 - Front Differential Assembly
LR055677 is a front differential assembly fitted to the front axle of vehicles using the 4.0 Cologne V6 and 4.4 AJ-V8 engines. The assembly transfers drive torque from the transmission to the two front driveshafts while allowing the left and right wheels to rotate at different speeds during cornering; it contains the driven ring gear and internal differential gears and is lubricated inside the case. On these vehicles the unit mounts to the front axle carrier and interfaces with the front driveshaft flanges and axle mounting points - during installation check breather hose routing, verify oil level and sealing surfaces, and ensure correct assembly.
Please note: When replacing the front differential replace the breather hose; use TAP500130 or LR028144 depending on model.
