LR056944 is a front differential assembly fitted to the front axle on selected Discovery 4 models with automatic transmissions. The assembly transfers drive to the front wheels and contains the differential gearing and associated housings that allow each front wheel to rotate at different speeds under drive; correct fitment is required for the front axle to accept the correct axle shafts and seals. The part is supplied as a complete front differential assembly suitable for vehicles specified for diesel engines with automatic transmissions and replaces earlier reference numbers where applicable; it is intended for direct installation into the front axle case on compatible Discovery 4 models.
