Land Rover Part Number: LR057287 - Crankshaft Main Bearing
LR057287 is a crankshaft main bearing for Land Rover 2.0L TIVCT turbo petrol engines. It supports and locates the crankshaft journals in the engine bottom end, carrying radial and axial loads while allowing rotation on the lubricating oil film. The bearing fits into the engine block saddles and provides the bearing surface between the rotating crankshaft and the stationary engine block, accepting combustion and inertial loads and transferring them into the block while maintaining the correct clearance for the oil film on the crank journals. Correct bearing condition and clearance are critical to oil pressure and crankshaft alignment; worn or damaged main bearings can lead to increased bearing clearance, reduced oil pressure, crankshaft endplay and accelerated wear on journals and bearings. This bearing is specified for Land Rover 2.0L 16V TIVCT turbo petrol applications across several model lines - use the compatibility data below to confirm fitment against your V.I.N.

Frequently Asked Questions
The LR057287 main bearing supports the crankshaft in the engine block saddles and maintains the oil film clearance required for journal rotation. It transfers combustion and inertial loads into the block and ensures correct crankshaft alignment; excessive wear or damage commonly presents as low oil pressure, increased bearing clearance or excessive crankshaft endplay. Inspect the bearing if these symptoms are present or during an engine overhaul.
