LR058003 is a filter-housing-mounted oil pressure switch that monitors engine oil pressure and provides a signal to the vehicle's monitoring system if pressure falls outside expected limits. It is fitted to the oil filter housing on 3.0 Td6 diesel and M62 B44 4.4 V8 petrol engines. A faulty switch can cause false low-oil-pressure warnings or prevent warnings from appearing; have it checked during routine oil services and replace if it fails or shows corrosion.
