LR071035 is a drive belt tensioner fitted to compatible 3.0L DOHC GDI V6 and 5.0L OHC SGDI V8 petrol engines. The unit applies controlled tension to the accessory (serpentine) belt by positioning a pulley against the belt, keeping it in positive contact with accessory pulleys such as the alternator and air conditioning compressor to minimise slip and pulley misalignment.
