LR076692 is a front wheel hub and bearing assembly that bolts to the front hub carrier and contains the wheel mounting flange and integrated bearing for the front axle. The assembly locates the front road wheel on the knuckle and carries vertical and lateral loads from the suspension and road surface; the bearing allows the wheel to rotate around the axle spindle while the hub flange provides the mounting face for the brake disc and wheel studs. Worn bearings may produce audible growling during straight-line driving or when cornering and, in advanced cases, can cause ABS or TCS warning lights if the reluctor ring or sensor position is affected. This part is fitted to the front axle knuckle on applicable Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport models and is replaced as a single assembly to restore correct wheel location and rotation.
Please note: Supplied as the bearing and hub assembly only; the stake nut is not included. You will need either M24 x 2.0mm or M24 x 1.5mm stake nut for installation.
