LR079295 is a rear axle electric oil pump motor. Fitted to the rear axle oil pump assembly, the unit supplies electric drive for oil circulation within the rear differential system on Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport models from 2015 onwards. The motor provides rotational power to the rear axle oil pump, circulating lubricating and cooling oil to maintain flow and pressure for the differential clutch packs and gears; it is operated by the vehicle's control systems and runs as required. A failed motor will reduce oil circulation and can allow elevated temperatures or reduced hydraulic function in the differential, which may lead to increased wear; replacement restores electric drive and normal oil circulation for the differential system in the listed models.
