LR087096 is a left-hand front MacPherson strut assembly with an integrated air bag, specified for long-wheelbase Range Rover models fitted with Adaptive Chassis Electronics (ACE). Fitted to the front-left corner, the assembly combines a hydraulic damper and an air spring to control vertical wheel movement and front-axle ride height; the damper converts kinetic energy into heat to reduce oscillation while the air bag provides a tunable spring rate and an adjustable ride height range. The unit locates the wheel hub, resists body roll in conjunction with anti-roll components and lower suspension links, and incorporates the spring seat, top mount, lower suspension attachment and the pneumatic fittings and internal valving required for ACE control strategies.
