LR087660 is a Remote Control System - Transponder. Fitted as part of the door lock/electronics system, this unit provides remote keyfob control of the door locking system and contains an on-board transponder for immobiliser recognition. It transmits and receives on a 315 MHz door lock frequency and interfaces with the vehicle's central locking and immobiliser circuits; replacement units are used where remote locking fails, the transponder function is required for key recognition, or where the remote control casing or electronics are damaged. Installation normally requires pairing or programming the unit to the vehicle using the V.I.N. and manufacturer diagnostic procedures.
