What does LR094511 do?

The LR094511 vibration damper reduces transmitted vibration and torsional shock within the transfer drive assembly. Located where the transfer drive interfaces with the transmission case, the damper dampens cyclic loads that would otherwise increase wear on gears, shafts and bearings, and contribute to driveline noise. By moderating rapid torque fluctuations, the damper reduces peak dynamic loads on surrounding components and helps maintain consistent behaviour of the transfer drive under varying drive conditions. Service or replacement of the damper is performed when vibration, noise or driveline wear indicate loss of damping performance.
