Land Rover Part Number: LR098386 - Oil Pump
LR098386 is an oil pump. Fitted to the engine lubrication system on supported 3.0L and 5.0L petrol engines, this pump draws oil from the sump and delivers pressurised oil through internal galleries and the oil filter to lubricate main bearings, rod bearings, camshafts and the valve train. It supplies the pressurised oil required for lubrication and for hydraulic functions such as variable valve timing or cam phasing on the 3.0L DOHC GDI supercharged V6 and the 5.0L supercharged petrol engines; a worn or failing unit can cause reduced oil pressure and increased engine wear. Use the compatibility data below to confirm fitment against your V.I.N.

Frequently Asked Questions
The LR098386 oil pump supplies and maintains pressurised engine oil for lubrication and hydraulic systems on supported 3.0L DOHC GDI supercharged V6 and 5.0L supercharged petrol engines. It draws oil from the sump and forces it through internal galleries and the oil filter to maintain pressure at bearings and camshaft journals. A failing pump commonly presents as low oil pressure or unusual engine noise and should be replaced to avoid accelerated engine wear.
