LR113712 is a Brake Caliper fitted to the rear braking system. This caliper applies hydraulic pressure to the rear brake pads to clamp the rear brake disc; it mounts over the disc and carries the pads, retaining hardware and the hydraulic inlet that connects to the vehicle brake line.
The caliper converts brake fluid pressure into mechanical force at the rear wheels: when hydraulic pressure is applied the piston(s) move, pressing the pads onto the rotating disc to slow or stop the vehicle.
