LR116598 is a CSOV solenoid fitted to the vacuum control and air injection system on 3.0 V6 Diesel engines. The solenoid provides electro-mechanical switching under control of the engine management system, opening and closing internal passages to route vacuum or air to downstream valves and actuators required for emissions and vacuum-operated functions. The compact, electrically operated valve assembly mounts on the engine vacuum harness and connects into the vehicle's vacuum/air routing. Replacement is required when the unit fails electrically or develops internal leakage that prevents correct vacuum or air routing.
