LR124261 is an idler sprocket for the timing drive chain. Fitted to the timing gear on 2.0 L Ingenium petrol and diesel engines, this sprocket provides the running surface for the timing chain, positions and guides the chain within the timing gear, and is mounted on a bearing so it must rotate freely under load to maintain correct chain tension and alignment.
