NTC1802 is a Rear Exhaust Silencer and tailpipe assembly. Fitted to the exhaust system of 90 inch wheelbase Defenders with the 2.5 Diesel Turbo 19J engine, this assembly routes exhaust gases to the rear tailpipe and reduces emitted noise at the rear of the vehicle. The unit forms the rear section of the exhaust, combining the silencer chamber with the tailpipe; it mounts beneath the rear of the vehicle, connects to the intermediate/mid-pipe and secures to chassis hangers to maintain correct alignment and clearance. A damaged or corroded silencer can increase noise levels and alter exhaust routing, so replacement restores correct rear exhaust geometry for the 2.5 Diesel Turbo 19J installation on the 90 inch wheelbase Defender.
