NTC2706 is a top link arm and bush for the right-hand rear suspension. Fitted to the right-hand rear axle, this pressed-steel assembly locates the axle fore-aft relative to the chassis and includes a bonded rubber bush to reduce vibration and permit controlled articulation. The top link forms part of the trailing/upper link set on classic Land Rover rear suspension designs, controlling roll steer and camber under load; the bonded bush provides lateral compliance and helps damp road noise. Replacement of the arm and bush as a matched assembly restores the original locating dimension and removes play; inspect the bush outer and inner faces for cracking and the arm for corrosion or deformation.
