NTC6868L is a Brake Pressure Valve - Non ABS. Fitted in the brake line between the front and rear circuits, it modulates hydraulic pressure to control the distribution of braking force between the front and rear wheels on vehicles without an anti-lock braking system, reducing rear line pressure relative to the front under certain conditions to help prevent rear wheel lock-up during heavy braking. The valve is a recognised wear item on ageing brake systems; internal wear, contamination or corrosion can cause uneven braking or pressure loss, so inspect for corrosion or leakage and replace if performance is degraded.
