NTC9607 is a Drag Link Assembly. Fitted in the steering system, this drag link transfers steering input from the steering box to the steering arm, transmitting lateral movement and converting rotational input into directional control at the front wheels. The assembly includes articulated joints to maintain alignment between the steering box and wheel spindle; correct operation preserves steering geometry and minimises free play at the steering wheel. Excessive wear at the joints can produce play, steering wander or uneven tyre wear, and replacing the assembly restores the designed steering relationship where wear or damage exists.
