PEB500010 is a water pump fitted to the engine cooling system on 4.2L and 5.0L AJ-V8 supercharged engines and 3.0L supercharged DOHC GDI V6 engines. The pump circulates coolant through the engine and supercharger cooling circuits to control operating temperature under normal and high-load running; it moves fluid through the block, cylinder heads and associated passages so the engine maintains safe running temperatures. A failed or leaking pump will reduce coolant flow and can lead to overheating and potential engine damage. The bracket for the pump is part number PEU500110.
