PHF000140 is a Mass Air Flow sensor. Fitted in the engine air intake, the sensor measures the mass (volume and density) of incoming air and provides that data to the engine management system so fuel injection and ignition timing can be calculated for the affected petrol engines. The sensor is used on engines such as the 4.0 Petrol V6, 4.2 Petrol V8 Supercharged and 4.4 AJ Petrol V8. Replacement is required when the sensor develops faults that cause erratic running, poor fuel metering or engine warning indicators.
