PRC9858 is an ignition coil for 4-cylinder petrol engines, fitted to the ignition system of 2.25L 4-cylinder petrol engines. The coil produces the high voltage required by the spark plugs to ignite the fuel-air mixture and works alongside the distributor, high-tension leads and spark plugs to deliver timed ignition for each cylinder. A coil that no longer produces the required voltage can cause misfire, rough running or a no-start condition; replacement restores reliable spark delivery and combustion on affected engines.
