Land Rover Part Number: QFK500030 - Inner Tie Rod - Steering Rack
QFK500030 is an inner tie rod for the steering rack. Fitted to the power steering rack, it connects the steering rack output to the spindle and is used on either the left or right side. The design uses a ball-joint style end to transmit lateral movement from the rack into the steering linkage, converting rack travel into wheel angle while allowing suspension articulation. Wear or play at the joint will create free play in the steering, unusual noise and potential tyre wear, so inspect and replace when these symptoms appear.
Please note: If the cover boot is damaged the replacement part number is QFW500020.
Use the compatibility data below to confirm fitment against your V.I.N.

Frequently Asked Questions
The inner tie rod transmits lateral movement from the steering rack into the steering linkage, converting rack travel into wheel angle. Its ball-joint style end allows articulation as the suspension moves while maintaining a direct mechanical connection between the steering rack output and the outer tie rod or spindle. Symptoms of wear include free play in the steering, knocking or clunking noises and accelerated tyre wear, indicating the tie rod requires replacement; when replacing, inspect the rubber gaiter and replace with QFW500020 if damaged, and check front-end geometry to factory specification after installation.
