QVB101350 is a power assisted steering pump for 2.5L 5-cylinder Td5 turbo diesel Defender applications. The unit supplies hydraulic pressure to the vehicle's power steering system, driven by the engine accessory drive; it draws fluid from the reservoir and delivers pressurised fluid to the steering rack or box via the high- and low-pressure lines. The assembly comprises the pump housing, internal vanes and shaft and the pressure line connections; inspect associated hoses and the low-pressure pipe sealing O-ring (part QYX100280) to prevent fluid loss or air ingress. When fitting a replacement, align pulleys, set drive-belt tension to manufacturer specification and check all hose connections for leaks.
