RBI100031 is a Front Panhard Rod - Left-Hand Drive. Fitted to Defender front suspension, this rod locates the front axle laterally relative to the chassis and controls side-to-side movement under load. It mounts between the axle and the vehicle body to resist sideways forces generated during cornering, braking and when driving over uneven surfaces; the rod articulates at each end through bushings or bearings to allow vertical axle movement while preventing lateral translation. Replacement is required when the rod or its end fittings show wear, excessive play or damage that permits lateral movement of the axle.
