RBK500280 is a 35mm lower ball joint for the front lower wishbone in the front suspension. Fitted between the lower wishbone and the steering knuckle, the joint forms the pivot that allows the wheel to steer while permitting vertical suspension travel. As a load-bearing component it transfers lateral, longitudinal and vertical loads from the wheel assembly into the lower suspension arm and is subject to wear from road loads and contaminants. This part is used on Discovery 3 and Discovery 4 front suspension applications, including vehicles fitted with B6 level armouring.
Please note: Replacing this ball joint is a difficult task and many technicians replace the complete lower suspension arm instead. This joint includes a retaining circlip. Use the compatibility data below to confirm fitment against your V.I.N.
