RNB000498 is a front shock absorber for vehicles fitted with standard duty coil springs. Fitted to the front suspension strut assembly, this damper controls compression and rebound of the coil spring and converts suspension movement into controlled hydraulic resistance to reduce rapid spring oscillation, help maintain wheel contact and manage vehicle pitch under braking and roll during cornering. Fitted applications include Discovery 4 (2010-2016) from VIN AA000001 and Discovery 3 models with standard duty coil springs up to 2012.
