Land Rover Part Number: RTC4998 - Front Right Brake Caliper
RTC4998 is a front right brake caliper that mounts to the right-hand front upright and houses the piston which applies hydraulic pressure to the pads, pressing them onto the front disc to generate the vehicle's braking force. The caliper locates the pads relative to the disc and provides the mounting interface to the upright or carrier; pistons and seals within the caliper maintain hydraulic sealing and movement. Damage or corrosion to these internal components can cause sticking, fluid leaks or reduced braking performance. Please note: Check your chassis number or V.I.N. to verify compatibility with early Defender 90 models up to VIN HA701009; some early vehicles may require part number RTC3380 instead. Brake pad set SFP500160 fits these calipers where applicable.
