RTC5250E is an alternator assembly that converts mechanical energy into electrical power to charge the battery and supply the vehicle's electrical systems while the engine runs. The assembly produces the vehicle's charging current and includes the voltage regulation for the charging circuit. Fitted to Range Rover Classic 2.4 VM Diesel engines, the alternator couples to the engine drive to replenish battery charge during running; common reasons for replacement include worn bearings, failed diodes or worn brushes which reduce output or cause electrical noise.
Please note: Battery must be fully recharged before fitting this new alternator. Failure to do so may affect any future warranty claim.
