RTC5573 is a front left brake caliper specified for Defender models fitted with solid front brake discs. Fitted to the left-hand front wheel, the caliper converts hydraulic pressure from the braking system into mechanical force by moving one or more pistons to press the brake pads against the solid disc. The caliper body contains the piston bore(s), seals and guide surfaces and mounts to the front wheel upright or mounting bracket; when replacing a caliper, inspect seals and pad wear to confirm compatibility. The matching right-hand front caliper is part number RTC5572.
