Land Rover Part Number: RTC5890 - Rear Brake Caliper - Left Hand
RTC5890 is a rear brake caliper, left hand. Fitted to the rear axle braking system, this caliper converts hydraulic pressure into the mechanical force that clamps the brake pads onto the rear disc. The assembly includes the piston bore, seals and the mounting interface for the caliper bolts; earlier applications used hex-head caliper mounting bolts (part 571910) while later caliper designs use multi-star headed bolts (FTC3375).
Please note: For vehicles originally fitted with an earlier imperial caliper, the brake pipe ends must be changed to metric fittings when fitting this caliper. The matching right-hand rear caliper is part number RTC5889. For Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic models the caliper changeover point varies by axle number and whether the vehicle has ABS; check vehicle details if unsure.
