RTC6442S is a 2.5L standard-diameter piston for the 2.5L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated diesel engine. Installed in the cylinder bore, the piston carries ring grooves for compression and oil rings and converts combustion pressure into the reciprocating motion that the connecting rod transmits to the crankshaft; crown form and skirt dimensions affect combustion chamber volume, piston-to-wall interaction, compression ratio and mechanical clearance.
