Land Rover Part Number: RTC6702 - Fuel Cut-Off Solenoid - Injection Pump

RTC6702 is an electromechanical fuel cut-off solenoid fitted to the injection pump on 2.5L 200Tdi and 300Tdi diesel engines. When the vehicle electrical circuit is de-energised the solenoid's internal plunger moves to close the fuel passage in the pump and stop fuel delivery; when energised the coil holds the plunger open to allow normal fuel flow to the injectors. The part interfaces directly with the pump housing and requires correct alignment and seating at the pump outlet. Common service reasons include a sticking plunger, open coil windings or corrosion that prevents a clean shut-off. The component is used across older Land Rover 2.5L Tdi applications including Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic models.
