SEE100320 is a right-hand front brake caliper carrier fitted to Freelander models with vented front discs. The carrier locates and supports the right-hand front caliper relative to the brake disc, maintaining correct pad alignment and transmitting braking reaction loads into the hub/knuckle. It provides the mounting interface for the caliper guide pins and retaining hardware and determines caliper slide geometry and pad wear characteristics; a distorted or damaged carrier can cause uneven pad wear, noise, vibration and reduced braking consistency. During removal and refit the carrier should be free of damaged mounting faces and guide pin bores, as any play in those interfaces will affect braking performance.
