Land Rover Part Number: SMC500110 - Rear Right Brake Caliper
SMC500110 is a rear right brake caliper fitted to the rear upright. The caliper clamps the brake pads onto the rear brake disc, converting hydraulic pressure from the wheel circuit into the stopping force for the rear wheel; this design was fitted to 90-inch wheelbase Defender models from the mid-1990s through later Defender production and also replaced earlier calipers used on certain Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic vehicles where dates overlap.

Note: some earlier rear calipers used hex-head caliper mounting bolts while later fitments for SMC500110 and SMC500240 use multi-star head mounting bolts; changeover points on Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic models depend on axle number and whether the vehicle has ABS. Check the compatibility list and your V.I.N. before ordering.
