Land Rover Part Number: SSW500020 - Front Wheel Speed Sensor - ABS
SSW500020 is a front wheel speed sensor (ABS). Fitted to the front wheels of Discovery 2 models, the sensor measures wheel rotation and supplies an electrical wheel-speed signal to the ABS control unit so wheel slip can be detected and braking/traction systems adjusted accordingly.
Please note: The bracket for this sensor is part number SSU100650.

The SSW500020 senses rotation of the front wheel's tone wheel and generates an electrical signal used by the ABS control unit to calculate wheel speed. If the sensor or its wiring fails it can cause intermittent signals or signal loss, illuminate the ABS warning lamp and affect ABS, traction control and stability systems; inspect the sensor bracket SSU100650 and wiring when replacing.
