STC1052020 is a 0.020 inch oversize piston supplied as a matched assembly with piston rings and a gudgeon pin for 200Tdi engines. The piston converts combustion pressure into reciprocating force transmitted through the gudgeon pin and connecting rod to the crankshaft, while the rings provide combustion sealing and regulate the oil film on the cylinder wall. This assembly is intended for engines whose cylinder bores have been machined to 0.020 in oversize; using the correctly sized piston and matched rings restores compression and oil control after reboring, and the included gudgeon pin provides the basic fitment for reassembly of the connecting rod end.
