Land Rover Part Number: STC1245 - Starter Motor Solenoid
STC1245 is the starter motor solenoid used to engage the starter and switch the heavy-current supply on 2.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel Land Rover engines up to and including the 300Tdi. Fitted inside the starter motor assembly, the solenoid pulls a plunger to move the starter drive pinion into mesh with the flywheel and closes the high-current contacts to feed the starter when the ignition is turned to 'start'. This solenoid is not used on the VM TD or Land Rover 4-cylinder petrol engines. Use the compatibility data below to confirm fitment against your V.I.N.
