STC226 is an Upper Swivel Pin Kit for the front axle on vehicles fitted with four-wheel anti-lock braking systems. The kit contains the upper swivel pin, thrust washers, a needle roller bearing and a seal for the upper swivel pin assembly; the swivel pin locates the steering knuckle within the swivel housing and allows controlled steering articulation and vertical movement of the hub, the needle roller bearing carries radial loads, the thrust washers control axial load and bearing preload, and the seal prevents lubricant loss and excludes dirt and moisture.
