STC234 is a 65 Amp A127 alternator. Fitted to the engine, this alternator charges the vehicle battery and supplies electrical power to the vehicle's electrical systems while the engine runs. The A127 65A unit is suitable for older Land Rover 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engines up to the 200Tdi and for 3.5-litre V8 petrol applications. The alternator mounts to the engine and is driven by the accessory drive belt, so correct belt choice and pulley alignment are important; for 2.5-litre 4-cylinder engines use alternator belt part ETC7938, and for the 3.5-litre V8 use belt part ERR2073. Use the compatibility data below to confirm fitment against your V.I.N.
