Land Rover Part Number: STC2784 - ABS Pump Accumulator
STC2784 is an ABS pump accumulator used on Range Rover P38 models. The accumulator is located within the ABS hydraulic module and stores hydraulic energy for the ABS pump assembly; this reserve of pressure allows the modulator to manage rapid brake-pressure changes during antilock events and helps to smooth pressure fluctuations produced by the pump. A new O ring seal is supplied with the part. This listing covers the accumulator only; for the complete ABS pump assembly including the accumulator, refer to part number STC2783. Replacement is carried out when the hydraulic reservoir or pump assembly has been serviced or if pressure retention within the ABS system is lost.
