Land Rover Part Number: STC3395 - Crankshaft Main Bearing Set - Standard Size
STC3395 is a standard-size crankshaft main bearing set for 2.5-litre 4-cylinder Land Rover diesel engines up to and including 300Tdi. Fitted in the engine bottom end, these bearing shells locate the crankshaft within the block, provide the lubricated running surfaces on each main journal and accept the hydrodynamic oil film that transmits radial loads from the crankshaft into the block. Correct bearing clearance is essential for oil pressure and bearing life; replace with this standard-size set only when journals are within nominal specification and machining to an undersize is not required.
