Land Rover Part Number: STC3767 - Rear Shock Absorber
STC3767 is a rear shock absorber fitted to the rear suspension of 90 inch wheelbase Defender models. This damper assembly dampens vertical wheel movement to control body motion over uneven surfaces and provides hydraulic damping by controlling compression and rebound cycles to reduce sustained oscillation after bumps and help maintain tyre contact. The internal valving and fluid convert kinetic energy from suspension movement into heat, moderating vehicle pitch and roll during acceleration, braking and cornering. The assembly is supplied complete with seals and fluid and mounts using the vehicle's standard upper and lower bush locations.
Please note: If you only need replacement bushes use NRC5593 for the upper bush and 552818 for the lower bush. For vehicles from VIN XA159807 onward the equivalent shock absorber part number is RPM100070.
