STC3771 is a rear shock absorber supplied complete with new bushes. It fits the rear suspension of Defender 110 110-inch wheelbase models with normal-duty suspension up to VIN XA159806. The damper mounts between the rear axle and the body to control vertical wheel movement and to damp both compression and rebound, helping to reduce repetitive spring oscillation and improve load stability and handling over bumps and undulating surfaces. For vehicles from VIN XA159807 the correct replacement is RPM100080; if replacing only the bushes use upper NRC5593 and lower 552818.
