STC4098 is a magnetic drain plug used on ZF 4-speed automatic transmissions. Fitted to the transmission sump, the plug's magnet attracts and retains ferrous particles from the gearbox oil to help reduce wear on internal components. It is also referred to as a sump plug, drain bolt or oil drain plug.
