STC4099 is a magnetic drain plug sealing washer for the ZF 4-speed automatic gearbox. It fits the transmission sump drain plug alongside magnetic plug STC4098 and provides a sealing surface while the built-in magnet helps capture ferrous particles from the gearbox fluid. Commonly described as a sump washer, drain washer or drain plug sealing washer, it is located on the transmission (gearbox) oil sump and should be inspected whenever the gearbox fluid is drained.
