STC4561 | Flywheel - 2.0L TD4, 16V Diesel | Freelander 1996-2006

The STC4561 flywheel stores rotational energy from the crankshaft to smooth torque pulses and provides the primary driven face for the clutch friction plate on the M47 2.0L I4 16V diesel. A ring gear around the perimeter provides the engagement surface for the starter motor. Wear to the driven surface, cracks in the flywheel body or a damaged ring gear can cause clutch judder, excessive noise or starting issues and should be inspected and rectified.
