STC8356 is a rear outrigger assembly that attaches to the rear section of the chassis on Defender 110-inch wheelbase models. Fitted to the rear chassis rails, the assembly provides the attachment points for body items and rear suspension-related brackets; it is a non-handed unit and will fit either the left or right side. In restoration or repair work the outrigger is replaced where corrosion or impact damage has compromised the rear chassis mounting geometry, restoring correct alignment for attached components and allowing secure refitment of body and suspension fixings.
