STC8606 is a Trailing Link Bracket - Right Hand. Fitted to the chassis outrigger on the rear suspension of Defender models, this bracket mounts the right-hand trailing link and transfers longitudinal and lateral loads into the chassis. It locates the suspension arm to maintain correct wheel path and axle geometry and provides the mounting faces for the trailing arm pivot and fasteners. Replace the bracket if corrosion, impact damage or worn mounting faces cause play or misalignment; inspect the adjoining outrigger and fasteners during replacement to confirm the mounting interface is sound before refitting the trailing arm.
