TAG500160 is a front differential assembly fitted into the front axle case. It transmits drive torque from the transfer case to the front axle, converting the longitudinal input into rotational drive for the two front wheels while allowing differences in wheel speed during cornering. The assembly houses the ring gear, differential gears and bearings and interfaces with the input pinion and half shafts; correct selection is important for axle ratio, gearset alignment and bearing preload in the front axle assembly.
